we spent memorial day weekend up in seattle. the weather was nice. it was great to get away. a few images from pike place market. more to come.
p.s. i scanned these images from prints, does anyone else do that? i'm not good at scanning from negatives, and haven't found photo labs to be better at scanning either. how do you scan your images?

I love the first shot of the birds!
I'm too cheap to get prints done, so I scan from negatives. It does take some getting used to (and a pantload of patience). My cat-hair infested apartment doesn't really make it easy, either. :P Maybe we should have a scan party sometime?
thanks, kim!
i do believe a scanning party is in order. i could use some tips on properly scanning negatives. our apartment is full of cat hair and dust so this should be interesting :)
wow these are so sharp! my pentax shots are never this sharp :) love that first shot.
and the lab does everything for me, scans my negatives on to a disc. i have no equipment!
i totally scan from prints. my negative scanning skills are atrocious. as is my patience. so thus...i cheat. =)
Such lovely images, Debbie! I just spent a week in Seattle and I can't believe how much I shot with my K1000. Everything I saw seemed to lend itself so well to a trusty 35mm film camera.
I always scan from prints too. Sooooo much easier and quicker. I used to do it the "right" way and scan from negatives for years but lately, it's all about the prints.
