tumbling

it's been awhile, hasn't it? poor little space. :) just wanted to share with you a new little home i've created on tumblr for sharing simple photos, a sort of practice space to grow and learn as a photographer. (don't worry, i'll still post here from time to time when i have more to say). i barely picked up my cameras in 2012 for whatever reason, and want to make sure that doesn't happen in 2013.

shapes of things

i like shapes. the rectangular building, the way its shape is broken up by squares and other rectangles. i like the way the tree creates a sister form on the lawn, and the long form of the building mimics the sliver of grass. i wonder if others notice these things, or if it just an inherent part of being a designer. who knows?

Last weekend I went photo-adventuring with my little brother at my favorite park. His camera was out of order so I let him borrow my Polaroid and he was immediately taken with it. Such fun to see someone's face light up the first time they peel apart a photo.
